Elissa Ennis, San Francisco 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster‘s ex-girlfriend and alleged victim in his domestic violence case, recanted her accusations of Foster punching her and dragging her down a flight of stairs.
She said she made up the story after Foster broke off their relationship.
During her testimony in a San Jose courtroom, Ennis revealed the motive behind the fabrication. Ennis claimed, “I wanted to sue Reuben. It was a money scheme. It was all about money. I wanted to get him,” according to The Athletic writer David Lombardi.
