49ers’ Kaepernick no better in more-favorable conditions

The conditions were better, but Colin Kaepernick was about the same.

A week after making his first 2016 start on the road amid howling winds, the 49ers quarterback completed 16 of 34 passes for 143 yards and threw a touchdown and interception in a 34-17 loss to Tampa Bay at Levi’s Stadium.

Kaepernick has completed fewer than 50 percent of his passes in each of his starts and his passer rating Sunday (56.4) was worse than the figure he posted (77.8) in a 45-16 loss at Buffalo.

“I have to be better,” Kaepernick said. “I think we threw for 100 yards.
