A few weeks into the 49ers offseason and they’re “working hard” at getting Jimmy Garoppolo signed to a long-term contract.
General manager John Lynch sounded optimistic Wednesday that the 49ers at some point will lock up their newfound quarterback.
“When you find the right guy at that position, it’s really good for your franchise. We believe we found the right guy,” Lynch told NFL Network’s Alex Flanagan at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala.
“Now the challenge is getting Jimmy signed, and we’re working hard toward that and we’ll see.”
