Left tackle Joe Staley, the longest-tenured 49er, added to his stellar resume Monday when he was named to the Pro Bowl for the sixth time in his 11-year career.
The 33-year-old Staley joins fullback Kyle Juszczyk as San Francisco’s lone Pro Bowl representatives for the game in Orlando this Sunday. Staley was an alternate and was selected to replace Dallas’ Tyron Smith, who is still recovering from a sprained knee that landed him on the injured reserve list in Week 17.
Staley overcame a slow start and a broken eye socket to turn in a strong performance in 2017.
