49ers Jimmie Ward hurt again, Nick Bosa has low-grade hamstring strain

SANTA CLARA — Add a broken collarbone to Jimmie Ward’s injury-plagued 49ers tenure.

Ward, the projected starter at free safety, will miss the remaining three weeks of the offseason program after fracturing his collarbone Thursday, the NFL Network first reported.

A 49ers spokesman said the team was awaiting test results.

Also expected out until training camp in late July is rookie defensive end Nick Bosa, the 49ers’ top draft pick who sustained what the team called a Grade 1 hamstring strain Tuesday.

San Francisco 49ers’ Richard Sherman (25) walks off the field with San Francisco 49ers’ Jimmie Ward (20) after a fourth down play against the Detroit Lions late in the fourth quarter at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.
