Wide receiver Jalen Hurd indeed tore his anterior cruciate knee ligament to further delay his 49ers debut for a second straight season, his agent confirmed Monday night.
“It is a torn ACL, just a straight ACL, nothing more to it, nothing else involved,” Hendrickson told KNBR 680-AM. “Just a torn ACL. So an easy fix. Probably will get it done in a couple weeks and then he’ll be good to go by next offseason.”
Hurd looked so good in last year’s two-touchdown, exhibition-opener debut, but then a stress fracture in his back shelved his entire rookie season.
