In 2011, linebacker Aaron Lynch enrolled at Notre Dame and was able to take part in spring practice. It was a stay that didn’t last long. There were mixed reviews and, on one hand, Lynch said, “he was homesick,” and his coaches knew the reality is one can’t make it at Notre Dame if “your head and heart are not here,” per Matt Fortuna of ESPN.com.
However, on the flip side, other reports were indicating Lynch was a “me first” guy, who lacked maturity and left much to be desired when it came to being a good teammate, while attending Notre Dame, according to Mike Huguenin of NFL.
