Fifteen days after former San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh was fired as Jets head coach, the 45-year-old was spotted on the sidelines at Packers practice up in Green Bay.
Packers head coach Matt LaFleur, who was roommates with Saleh when the two coached together in the college ranks at Central Michigan, confirmed that the team was already bringing in the well-regarded defensive coach for a part-time coaching role to help their offense.
“I think it’s a good opportunity for him to learn and also for him to help us and give us perspective on how teams might see us, how they might defend us,” LaFleur told reporters in a press conference.
