In Week 2, the San Francisco 49ers lost starting left tackle Joe Staley to a broken fibula. Two weeks later, they lost their starting right tackle Mike McGlinchey to a knee injury.
Now, the two elite tackles are expected to return Monday, in Week 10, against the Seattle Seahawks.
When Staley and McGlinchey went down, most Niners fans, myself included, panicked. People figured the 49ers’ elite run game would be unable to maintain its success without two of its most important blockers. They thought quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo would be constantly under pressure without his two outside blockers.
