The San Francisco 49ers returned to the practice field Monday and were in full pads for the first time. Head coach Kyle Shanahan provided injury updates after several players sat out.
There is no timetable for edge rusher Drake Jackson to return, but he’ll miss all of training camp:
“Those are big surgeries. They’re tough to come back from. You never know how they’re going to react. We always know there’s a possibility to take a long time, and it’s taken a long time.”
If Jackson stays on the PUP list, he will not count toward the 53-man roster, so the 49ers don’t have to rush him back.
