The NFL on Saturday fined 49ers running back Carlos Hyde $8,681 for taunting in the team’s season-opener Monday night against the Minnesota Vikings.
Hyde was fined for pointing at Vikings defensive back Robert Blanton while scoring in a 17-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter on the 49ers’ season opener. He was not penalized on the play.
Hyde rushed for 168 yards on 26 rushing attempts in the 49ers’ 20-3 season-opening victory.
