EAST PALO ALTO — Less than 24 hours after making three tackles at Levi’s Stadium in a preseason game, San Francisco 49ers outside linebacker Dekoda Watson stepped inside a classroom at StreetCode Academy.
He was joined on Sunday by ex-49ers Dennis Brown and Darryl Pollard in support of a school supply drive for boys and girls in East Palo Alto.
“That’s just the standard that we’re trying to set for these kids,” said Watson, who signed a three-year, $6 million contract with the 49ers in the offseason. “So it’s nothing but a small sacrifice for tomorrow, for our generation to come.
