LOS ANGELES - Wide receiver Marquise Goodwin’s career-best season ended with a scary collision.
In the second quarter of the 49ers’ 34-13 win over the Rams, Goodwin appeared to be knocked out after taking a helmet-to-helmet hit from safety Blake Countess, who was penalized and was later evaluated for a concussion. Goodwin’s arms initially splayed out after he hit the ground and left tackle Joe Staley immediately waved to the sideline for medical assistance.
“It was scary,” Staley said. “I heard the hit initially and I ran over there. I saw his arms kind of seizing up and his eyes were closed.
