SANTA CLARA — The 49ers’ 4-0 start and improved depth have general manager John Lynch ‘extremely confident’ in the injury-tested roster he and Kyle Shanahan have built since 2017.
With the Oct. 29 trade deadline looming, it isn’t tempting Lynch enough to rush elsewhere for replacements to injured starters, including offensive tackles Joe Staley (fibula fracture) and Mike McGlinchey (successful arthroscopic knee surgery Thursday).
