The San Francisco 49ers offensive line finished its 2018 campaign a bit banged up, and one of the injured players included left guard Laken Tomlinson, who suffered a torn MCL in Week 17 against the Los Angeles Rams.
While Tomlinson avoided the dreaded ACL tear, his recovery was suggested to be at least three months, possibly even carrying over into the start of the Niners’ offseason programs.
The good news, however, is Tomlinson is already back during the initial phases of organized team activities (OTAs).
According to a report from The Athletic’s Matt Barrows (h/t David Bonilla of 49ers Webzone), Tomlinson was observed practicing with the first-team unit at his left guard spot during the first week of OTAs.
