SANTA CLARA -- Tight end George Kittle is scheduled to be the 49ers’ 31st highest-paid player for the 2020 season.
But, beginning now, both sides are allowed to do something about that.
Teams and players are first allowed to enter into talks to renegotiate the contracts of drafted players after three seasons. Kittle just completed his third season, during which he was selected as first-team All-Pro.
“I’ll let my agent handle all those questions,” Kittle said on Wednesday, as the 49ers held their final team meeting and cleared out their lockers, three days after the team's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIV.
