SANTA CLARA — Sporting a fresh wound over the bridge of his nose, 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo shrugged off the reminder of how tough Saturday night’s win was over the Los Angeles Rams, and how challenging it will be when he makes his first career start in Seattle on Sunday night.
“Just normal bumps and bruises. Nothing crazy. It’s December football, baby,” Garoppolo said Tuesday. “Other than that (nose), I’m good.”
Don’t be alarmed, the scab atop Garoppolo’s nose does not ruin his photogenic face. This is not like paint being thrown onto the Sistine Chapel’s ceiling, though he did chuckle at that sarcastic comparison.
