49ers’ Foster, Brown won’t play in rainy Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA - The 49ers will not have inside linebacker Reuben Foster or right tackle Trent Brown, but they will have sloppy conditions to deal with today as they face the Eagles at rainy Lincoln Financial Field.

Foster, who was limited in practice during the week and was listed as questionable, left last week’s 40-10 loss to the Cowboys with a rib injury late in the third quarter. Foster had missed five games with a high ankle sprain he sustained in Week 1 before returning against Dallas.

Foster has not finished a game in his rookie season. He will likely be replaced by Brock Coyle in the starting lineup.
