SANTA CLARA — The 49ers won’t be entertaining another Anthony Davis comeback, officially terminating the right tackle’s contract Tuesday a few weeks after he sought reinstatement from the NFL.
Davis previously retired twice from the 49ers, in Jun 2015 and again three games into the 2016 season. He was a 2010 first-round draft pick and started every game his first four seasons before injuries took their toll, including a concussion.
