The San Francisco 49ers haven’t beaten the Arizona Cardinals since 2014.
That losing streak should have ended back in Week 5 this season, as the Niners statistically dominated the previously winless Cardinals back at Levi’s Stadium. But five turnovers ultimately led to the 49ers’ 28-18 defeat — a game in which quarterback C.J. Beathard was tagged with two interceptions and two lost fumbles.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan’s squad has a chance to avenge that loss this Sunday when the Niners travel to University of Phoenix Stadium.
And they should win on the road, thereby ending that streak.
