The San Francisco 49ers travel to Cleveland this week for the second stage of a two game road trip to take on the Cleveland Browns. In doing so, they will take on two former members of the 49ers organization: safety Donte Whitner, who played for the 49ers from 2011 through 2013, and long-time 49ers punter Andy Lee, who was traded to the Browns this past offseason for a seventh round pick.
Whitner, who was known during his time with the 49ers for his vicious hits — many of which were wrongly flagged — has continued his solid career with the Browns, despite the organization’s woes this past season.
