The 49ers worked out three defensive lineman on Thursday, including veteran Kedric Golston who overlapped with Kyle Shanahan for four seasons in Washington.
Golston, 33, was Washington's starting nose tackle last season but went on injured reserve following a severe hamstring tear in the second week of the season. He was medically cleared two and a half weeks ago and the 49ers were the first team that's taken a look at the 11-year veteran.
Golston (6-4, 310) has started 142 games over his career and, if signed, he'd only be the second 30-something on the 49ers' defense.
