DuJuan Harris is proof that even the 49ers’ apparent bright spots come with dark clouds this season.
In their last game, a 34-17 loss to Tampa Bay on Oct. 23, the running back made his 2016 debut and provided a bit of pop to an inert offense. Harris had 39 yards on 11 carries, including an 18-yard scamper, and two receptions for 18 yards.
Those aren’t eye-popping numbers, but they’re respectable considering Harris was promoted from the practice squad the day before kickoff because Carlos Hyde was sidelined with a shoulder injury.
The bad news about Harris’ performance: The journeyman outplayed Mike Davis, a 2015 fourth-round pick who didn’t take advantage of his first career start.
