The San Francisco 49ers selected Ohio State defensive end Nick Bosa with the second overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
The younger brother of Los Angeles Chargers standout Joey Bosa, Nick recorded 17.5 sacks in his three seasons at Ohio State.
He was limited to just three games and four sacks in his junior season after a core muscle injury sidelined him for the rest of the year.
The 49ers recorded just 37 sacks as a team in 2018, which tied for 22nd in the NFL. General manager John Lynch has been proactive in improving the team's pass rush this offseason by trading for Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Dee Ford and now drafting Bosa second overall.
