Rookie defensive tackle Solomon Thomas will be sidelined with a knee injury for today’s game against the Giants at Levi’s Stadium.
Thomas, the No. 3 pick who was listed as questionable, will miss his second straight game and his absence means DeForest Buckner is the only homegrown No. 1 pick on the defensive line, with Arik Armstead is on season-ending injured reserve. Ronald Blair will start in place of Thomas.
Meanwhile, the 49ers will get first-string nickel cornerback K’Waun Williams back after he missed two games with a quadriceps injury. Williams, who was questionable, was replaced by Leon Hall, 32, who remained active today.
