Last year, not long before he entered the NFL, 49ers wide receiver DiAndre Campbell delivered a sermon at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Seattle.
Campbell, an Oakland native who attended the University of Washington, was inspired to approach the pulpit after reading the account of Jesus giving sight to a blind man in John 9. In the Bible account, many people were dubious: They couldn’t believe a sightless man had been healed.
Campbell’s sermon was titled “All I Know.”
“He told them, ‘All I know is I was once blind, but now I can see,’” Campbell said.
