SANTA CLARA — Linebacker Reuben Foster was sore Monday but an MRI and X-rays on his injured ribs were negative, 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said.
Foster suffered the rib injury late in the third quarter of Sunday’s game against Dallas as he lunged to try and get a hand on Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, who came out of the pocket and scored on a two-yard touchdown run to give his team a 33-3 lead.
Whether Foster’s injury might limit his time in practice this week remains unclear. The play at Philadelphia against the Eagles next Sunday.
Shanahan said that right guard Brandon Fusco will be questionable this week with a biceps injury, but that he does have a chance to play against the Eagles.
