Kyle Shanahan is a perfectionist when it comes to his offense, and that can take some getting used to, as Deebo Samuel explained Wednesday.
The 49ers receiver detailed his "rough" rookie season on an episode of The Ringer’s “Slow News Day.” Shanahan's focus on details got to the point where Samuel had to find a way to hide his face so he could express his frustrations.
“My rookie year was real,” Samuel said. “I used to go to practice with dark shields on my helmet just so he couldn’t see my eyes because I was cussing him out in my helmet.
