The San Francisco 49ers have dealt with more than their fair share of notable injuries down the stretch, many of which stemmed from the team’s Week 14 victory over the New Orleans.
Chief among the setbacks were center Weston Richburg being lost to a season-ending knee injury, as well as cornerbacks Richard Sherman (hamstring) and K’Waun Williams (concussion) possibly missing extended time.
Now, the Niners can add nose tackle D.J. Jones to that list, too.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters on Wednesday Jones could miss the rest of the season with an ankle injury, which had been bothering him for some weeks now.
