INDIANAPOLIS — Rookie draft picks Ahkello Witherspoon and Pita Taumoepenu are suiting up for the first time this season as the 49ers visit the Colts on Sunday.
Witherspoon, a third-round pick, joins a cornerback corps that’s struggled with Rashard Robinson and Dontae Johnson as starters. Taumoepenu, a sixth-round pick, joins a defensive line rotation that will be without Dekoda Watson, one of their special teams aces.
Wide receiver Marquise Goodwin, after sustaining his four concussion in the past 14 months last game, is active.
Other inactives are linebacker Reuben Foster, safety Eric Reid, defensive back Adrian Colbert, linebacker Mark Nzeocha, guard Erik Magnuson and wide receiver Kendrick Bourne.
