The San Francisco 49ers have a great history of Hall of Famers, and now the team and its original city are pushing to get a notable snub inducted. With the Bay Area set to host Super Bowl 50, the city of San Francisco is pushing to use this year to help get former quarterback John Brodie into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. On Thursday, the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce held and event at Kezar Stadium, in which they handed a letter supporting Brodie's candidacy to a representative from Canton.
The event was entirely ceremonial, but with the Super Bowl coming to town this year, it might be the best chance for the Veteran's Committee to give Brodie's candidacy a long look.
