SANTA CLARA _ Nearly three-quarters of the way through the preseason, the 49ers offensive line may be taking shape.
Anthony Davis confirmed Tuesday he got most of the work with the first team at right guard ahead of Andrew Tiller, while Joshua Garnett, the second of two first-round draft picks, was splitting reps with veteran free agent acquisition Zane Beadles at left guard.
Davis said he doesn’t know the plans for Friday night’s preseason game against the Green Bay Packers, let alone Week 1 of the regular season, but coach Chip Kelly has said he wants his best five players to line up as the starters.
