The San Francisco 49ers have seen a sub-optimal start to their 2024 season, which only was further stressed on Sunday afternoon when they lost 20-17 to the Seattle Seahawks, dropping them to 5-5 on the season.
It was a crucial game for both sides, as the 49ers were looking to extend their recent winning streak and start the second half of the year hot, while the Seahawks were attempting to snap an ugly stretch where they had lost five of their last six games.
The latter ultimately proved to be the victor, as quarterback Geno Smith led an 11-play, 80-yard touchdown drive, capped by a 13-yard scramble to get the go-ahead score with just 12 seconds left.
