The San Francisco 49ers won’t be holding a practice on Tuesday. The team announced it has canceled today’s on-field portion and media availability following season-ending injuries to offensive lineman Justin Skule (ACL) and safety Tavarius Moore (Achilles).
As Cam Inman on The Mercury News points out, today would have been the Niners’ eighth practice during OTAs. The NFL and NFLPA negotiated a maximum of 10 practices were are allowed before mandatory minicamp.
The team will still get together for some team-building exercises, but it looks like San Francisco doesn’t want to risk having any more players get seriously hurt.
