Ever since Super Bowl 54 ended in defeat for the 49ers, quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has been taking shots.
Among those to question Garoppolo's ability to lead the 49ers to a Super Bowl victory were former NFL players Deion Sanders and Bart Scott, and ESPN personality Bomani Jones.
They all felt Garoppolo cost the 49ers a chance to beat the Kansas City Chiefs in Miami Gardens on Feb. 2.
New 49ers left tackle Trent Williams doesn't agree with the naysayers.
"I had an up-close and personal chance to watch them for the whole past year, to watch the successful run, and to see how he led the team," Williams said on 95.
