The San Francisco 49ers elevated two players ahead of their Week 8 matchup with the Dallas Cowboys, bringing in depth at key positions.
Safety Adrian Amos, who was signed to the team’s practice squad two weeks ago, will make his 49ers debut as a standard elevation to the active roster.
Amos, a nine-year NFL veteran, most recently played for the Houston Texans last year, splitting time between them and the New York Jets, starting three games for the latter.
He will serve as safety depth for the 49ers, who will be without Talanoa Hufanga as he remains on Injured Reserve, nursing a wrist injury that will keep him out for the considerable future.
