49ers' Bruce Miller released after arrest for assault in San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO -- 49ers tight end Bruce Miller was arrested for assault Monday morning at Fisherman's Wharf, according to a television report. KTVU reported that Miller tried to check in to the Marriott Hotel on Sunday night but was told it was full. He later allegedly attacked a 70-year-old hotel guest and his son, with both needing hospitalization.According to the report, Miller fled but was later arrested. The 49ers issued the following statement: "The San Francisco 49ers organization is aware of the media report regarding Bruce Miller. We are gathering the relevant facts of this matter and will continue to monitor the situation.
