49ers' Brooks fined for horse-collar tackle vs Rams

SANTA CLARA – Linebacker Ahmad Brooks was fined $17,363 for a horse-collar tackle in the 49ers’ loss on Sunday against the St. Louis Rams, the NFL announced on Friday.

Brooks was fined for a play on which he was penalized for one of his two facemask penalties.

Wide receiver Anquan Boldin was not fined. Boldin, who was inactive due to a hamstring injury, entered the playing field and shoved Rams special-teams player Chase Reynolds, who was arguing with L.J. McCray of the 49ers.

Rams defensive lineman Akeem Ayers was fined $8,681 for unnecessary roughness.
