The San Francisco 49ers’ injury woes continued Sunday as receiver Brandon Aiyuk was carted into the locker room at the end of the first half, and ruled out for the remainder of the Chiefs game.
Aiyuk suffered a leg injury with 48 seconds left in the second quarter. The 26-year-old receiver made a 14-yard grab before two Chiefs defenders brought him down.
Kansas City cornerback Trent McDuffie wrapped up Aiyuk from behind, and defensive back Chamarri Conners dove into the San Francisco player’s right thigh, forcing his leg to buckle awkwardly backwards. Aiyuk was taken into the blue medical tent and then taken back to the locker room in a cart.
