The San Francisco 49ers have a plethora of talented players on their roster. Of course, the realities of existing in a salary-capped league mean keeping a stacked roster entirely together for more than a season or two is virtually impossible.
49ers Pro Bowl cornerback Charvarius “Mooney” Ward is among several key players entering the final year of their contract. Ward, who signed a three-year, $39 million deal with the Niners following the 2022 season, was asked about his long-term future with the team earlier this week. He made it clear that he would like to remain in San Francisco going forward:
“Yeah, I’d like to stick around,” Ward told reporters.
