The bad news for San Francisco 49ers cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon is he’ll likely miss the rest of the 2018 season after suffering a knee injury during the team’s 26-23 overtime win versus the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15. And he won’t have a chance to build upon what had been a promising four-plus game stretch after struggling much of the season.
The good news, however, is Witherspoon’s injury didn’t cause any major damage. This, according to a Monday report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, which indicated the second-year pro suffered a knee sprain after MRI results became known.
