A busy Friday continued for the 49ers as the team announced the addition of Don Jones.
The defensive back and special teams standout signed a two-year deal with San Francisco, the team said.
The 5-foot-11, 195-pound Jones tied for the Texan’s team lead with 11 special-teams tackles last season while playing in just nine games. He has 37 special-teams tackles and one forced fumbles in 56 games.
Originally drafted out of Arkansas State by the Dolphins in 2013, Jones has played for Miami twice, the Patriots, the Browns and the Saints.
As a rookie he was named PFWA All-Rookie Team for his performance on special teams.
