The San Francisco 49ers have acquired defensive end Chase Young from the Washington Commanders in a deadline day trade for a third-round pick, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The former No. 2 overall pick will join a defensive line that has been criticized for a lack of impact on the field. Young was the 2020 Defensive Rookie of the Year and has five sacks through seven games this season.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
