Unlike previous seasons, the San Francisco 49ers aren’t looking for widespread changes and additions in the upcoming 2020 NFL Draft.
The NFC champion Niners don’t have too many needs this offseason. But the ones they do have are pronounced. One can easily see the problems at wide receiver behind Deebo Samuel and Kendrick Bourne, some short- and long-term needs at cornerback are pressing. Both the offensive and defensive lines could use some help, and there’s never a shortage for quality depth on both sides of the ball.
With San Francisco’s free agency moves largely wrapped up, general manager John Lynch and his staff are now tasked with finding potentially two Round 1-caliber players in the draft, then some day-three finds, as the 49ers currently don’t have any picks in Rounds 2 through 4.
