The San Francisco 49ers rookies reported to training camp Tuesday. While first-round pick Ricky Pearsall was sidelined due to injury, a trio of their undrafted free agents were in the news for another league.
The UFL draft was held Wednesday morning, and three of the Niners’ undrafted free agents were selected. There are eight teams in the UFL, and the draft was ten rounds.
Local product Chevan Cordeiro, San Jose State’s quarterback, was drafted No. 5 overall.
The St. Louis Battlehawks selected former Missouri running back Cody Schrader with the fifth pick in the second round.
