Judging by most expert accounts out there, the San Francisco 49ers will wind up with Ohio State edge rusher Nick Bosa at No. 2 overall in the 2019 NFL Draft after the Arizona Cardinals grab Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray with the top pick.
At least according to many a mock draft out there.
Yet as anyone who has watched more than a couple of actual drafts can attest, there are always unforeseen changes, reaches, runs on a position and so on throughout the NFL Draft itself.
These wild cards are the reality behind the “smoke and mirrors” campaigns teams and executives toss out there in the weeks and months leading up to the draft itself.
