There’s a lot at stake for the 10-2 San Francisco 49ers when they travel to take on the also 10-2 New Orleans Saints at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in Week 14.
The Saints overtook the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoff picture recently, following the Niners’ Week 13 loss to the Baltimore Ravens and the Seattle Seahawks usurping San Francisco in the NFC West standings.
And with so many teams towards the top of the standings, it’s not out of reason to suggest head coach Kyle Shanahan’s squad has to win out the rest of the regular season to secure a top seed and potential first-round bye week in the playoffs.
