After postseason play ends, the league calendar moves to the NFL Scouting Combine, which runs from March 1-7 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
While the official start of the 2022 NFL year is March 16 when free agency kicks off, the unofficial kickoff to free agency is March 14. This is when clubs are permitted to contact, and enter into contract negotiations with, the certified agents of players who will become Unrestricted Free Agents
