The 2019 NFL Draft is still months away, and yet nearly half of the league’s teams and their fanbases have little more to get excited about as the rest of the 2018 regular season draws to a close, and those fortunate enough to make the playoffs will be the talk of nationwide pundits and analysts everywhere.
If things stay put the way they are now, the San Francisco 49ers will own the No. 1 overall pick in April’s draft. And for a team with a 2-9 record this deep into the season, having a shot at the top pick is about as good as it gets.
