Former Pittsburgh wide receiver Tyler Boyd was a highly touted prospect coming out Clairton High School. He was awarded U.S. Army All-American honors and was a two-time Class A Player of the Year for his 5,755 yards and 117 touchdowns (Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League record). Boyd played running back, wide receiver, quarterback, punt returner and defensive back in his four varsity seasons, with a finishing record of 63-1. He was rated the no. 8 overall prospect by Scout and no. 6 by Scout. At Pittsburgh in 2013, Boyd was the country's most productive freshman, totaling 85 catches for 1,174 yards and seven touchdowns.
